A TEAM of specialists could be set up to improve the care and support available to autism sufferers.

A NEW strategy aimed at improving support services for people with autism has been backed by councillors.

SAAS would like to take this opportunity in thanking the mayor CLLR John Cooper and his wife Angela for supporting us in the last 12 months with various functions and charity events they have organized for us, we were very welcomed at the mayors reception evening on the 7th may at the mayors palour at the civic offices Newcastle under lyme, we were also given a talk by the mayors sergeant about they history of the borough and the mayor, a cheque was presented to SAAS for £6000, and a presentation pack was handed to the mayor and his wife a collection of photographs of events that had taken place and a thank you card from 130 SAAS members, and a bouquet of flowers were given to the mayoress and mayor for all their hard work, SAAS would like to say a big thank you to cllr John Cooper and Angela for choosing our charity to support and we really appreciate this, Kevin Healey Chairman SAAS
