Luke Beardon : Why people with autism behave in the way they do:
Luke Beardon has been working as a practitioner in the field of autism for around fifteen years. Despite having the title of 'senior lecturer in autism' and working for the Autism Centre at Sheffield Hallam University he insists that he not an academic, but simply someone who has always enjoyed working with people with autism. He works closely with people with autism around the country as well as providing input on academic courses from undergraduate through to Masters and Doctoral study. His special interests are people with autism and his family - pretty much to exclusion of everything else.
Bob Rhodes : The world is my lobster
Bob Rhodes is Co-Founder and Director of Livesthrough Friends CIC – an organisation that assists people to manage and direct their own support arrangements and which asserts that there’s more to life than services. Before this Bob founded TACT UK in 1991 and led it until his 'retirement' in 2006. He was Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003.
Digby Tantum : Can the world afford ASD
Digby Tantum is a psychotherapist, counsellor, psychologist, and psychiatrist. He has worked in the NHS for over thirty years, and as a University Professor for nearly twenty. He is currently Clinical Professor of Psychotherapy at the University of Sheffield, where he is Director of the Centre for the Study of Conflict and Reconciliation, and an Honorary Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, and the Higher Education Academy, and an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society.

Our autism world conference was a huge success with over 200 people attended.
We had various speakers from all over the UK including Carol Povey from the NAS lunching the I EXIST campaign, Anja Rutten from Staffordshire university, and speakers in the afternoon were Dean Beadle,Jessica Peers, Elizabeth Hughes, Adrian Summersell, Ken Elliott, SAAS would like to thank everyone who took part in the day.

Also present on the day was elected mayor Mark Meridith, and Newcastle Mayor John Cooper who addressed the audience saying "SAAS is a unique group and he will raise funds for this coming year to donate to SAAS"
